Hi! I’m Karl.  I have over 17 years of experience in the video game industry. My background is in environment art but after about a decade of working in the trenches, I transitioned into a leadership role. As it is my first love, I still practice environment art when I get the chance; however, I find my greatest satisfaction comes from helping others improve their skills and talents. My interest in environment art was heavily influenced by growing up as a military brat and the travel that came along with it.  As we lived in and visited places around the world I always loved how each location had its own unique character and visual story to tell.  Currently I live in Round Rock, Texas with my lovely wife and amazing son.  I am a huge history nerd and love studying 18th century Colonial America.  My other interests (which again appeal to my inner history lover) are Mid-century Tiki pop culture and of course anything to do with learning about architecture throughout the ages.
